The Firm

The Stefano Law Firm, PLLC is engaged in the general practice of law, with a focus on residential and commercial real estate, mortgage banking, estate planning, litigation, and business formation. 

The firm’s real estate practice involves both residential and commercial transactions.  This includes representing clients in the purchase and sale of residential dwellings, condominiums, townhouses, new builds, as well as commercial buildings.  The firm provides services in Monroe County, Ontario County, Wayne County, Steuben County, Livingston County, Orleans County, Erie County, Yates County, Seneca County, and all other counties in New York. 

Stephen M. Stefano, Esq., the sole member of the firm, also represents numerous mortgage lenders during real estate mortgage closing transactions.  The real estate practice also includes landlord and tenant matters.  The firm also provides advice regarding wills and trusts, corporate matters, and business formation.

Stephen M. Stefano, Esq. has managed the Stefano Law Firm, PLLC since its opening in 2008.  Prior to opening the firm, Stephen worked as the Chief Legal Counsel to the Senate of the Republic of Palau.  While at the Senate, Stephen managed the legal affairs of the Senate, which included drafting legislation and speeches, advising senators about domestic and international issues, and partaking in meetings on behalf of the Senate with the President of the Republic of Palau, as well as with foreign nations, including the United States of America and the Philippines.  Stephen received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Georgetown University (1995) and his Juris Doctor degree from Thomas Cooley Law School (2001).
